Subject: Re: An appeal against TC Admin decision on Java package names

See below, then.

The Process document is silent on this, so my assumption is that it
is possible until the expiration of the first scheduled deadline
(15 days) since it is not directly or indirectly prohibited. *However,*
I would like to have a message from each of the new appellants confirming
that they wish to be listed as such. I'm not sure what adding new
names buys you, as the decision will be on its merits, not on how
many appellants there are, but so be it.

As to the appeal itself: the first appeal's suspension is now lifted
as of December 12, after having ran for 4 days (from May 5 to May 8).
The response dates are therefore December 23 2008 and January 7, 2009.

This message serves to inform the TC that such an appeal has been
filed (and thus the December 23 deadline becomes moot). A response
to the appeal on its merits will be issued on or before January 7.
(I personally hope we are able to issue it well before that date).
