Subject: NEW ISSUE: Inconsistent normative statements in Chapter 10
TARGET: Java Common Annotations and APIs DESCRIPTION: Inconsistent normative statements in Chapter 10 Chapter 10 has a normative statement that SCA runtimes MUST support the JAXB 2.1 mapping from Java to XML Schema, but there are no normative requirements to support mappings from XML Schema to Java, WSDL to Java, or Java to WSDL. PROPOSAL: Replace the first paragraph of Chapter 10 by the following: This specification applies the WSDL to Java and WSDL to Java mapping rules as defined by the JAX-WS 2.1 specification {JAX-WS] for generating remotable Java interfaces from WSDL portTypes and vice versa. Add the following sentence at the start of the second paragraph: SCA runtimes MUST support the JAX-WS 2.1 mappings from WSDL to Java and from Java to WSDL [JCA100010]. Replace conformance statement JCA100004 by the following: SCA runtimes MUST support the JAXB 2.1 mappings from XML Schema to Java and from Java to XML Schema. [JCA100004] Replace conformance statement JCA100005 by the following: SCA runtimes MAY support the SDO 2.1 mappings from XML Schema to Java and from Java to XML Schema. [JCA100005]
