Subject: RE: [sca-j] [NEW ISSUE] Missing Normative Statements relating to @Callbackannotation used to annotate injection point for callback proxy - [JAVA-159]

A comment on JCA90052, it might be better to reword it as follows:

The SCA Runtime MUST raise an error if the @Callback annotation is used to annotate a setter method or a field of a Java implementation class that has
COMPOSITE scope. [JCA90052]

Subject:
[sca-j] [NEW ISSUE] Missing Normative Statements relating to @Callback annotation used to annotate injection point for callback proxy

Raiser: Mike Edwards

Target: sca-javacaa-1.1-spec-cd02-rev7.doc

Description:

Section 7.2.4 Accessing Callbacks describes the use of the @Callback annotation to mark a field or setter as a place where
a callback proxy must be injected. However there are no normative statements relating to this use of the @Callback annoation
- either in section 7.2.4 or in the section 10.3 @Callback

Proposal:

Add the following to section 10.3 @Callback, following line 1598.

The @Callback annotation MUST NOT be used to annotate a setter method or a field of a Java implementation class that has
COMPOSITE scope. [JCA90052]

When used to annotate a setter method or a field of an implementation class for injection of a callback object, the SCA runtime MUST
inject a callback reference proxy into that method or field when the Java class is initialized, if the component is invoked via a service
which has a callback interface and where the type of the setter method or field corresponds to the type of the callback interface. [JCA90053]
