Subject: RE: [sca-j] Java CI spec - up to date issues applied

Hi Dave,

I have reviewed the updated WD09 of the C&I specification and have the following review comments:

Editorial Comments

  • Inconsistent indentation on the following lines:

·         Lines 2 – 11

·         Lines 13 – 15

·         Line 45

·         Lines 267 – 271

·         Lines 281 – 283

·         Lines 373 – 650 – i.e. whole of chapter 8

·         Lines 676 – 803 – i.e. whole of chapter 10

·         Lines 779 – 791 – Consider indenting this list further than the paragraphs that surround it

·         Lines 827 – 841 - Consider indenting this list further than the paragraphs that surround it

  • Lines 65, 71, 96 & 121: Add “package services.hello;” since composite XML in lines 83 – 90 has a package name
  • Line 234: Change method name to setMaxRetries to match the variable name. Not strictly required but do we really need to introduce an example at this point that shows different method names/field names?
  • Split the code comments on the following lines onto multiple lines as it splits in an untidy way:

·         Lines 295 – 296

·         Lines 306 – 307

  • Line 908 – Consider making the Conformance ID column narrower since there is a lot of unused whitespace in the table

Thanks,

Mark

Simon,

Thanks for the thorough review. I've made all the updates (and a few more that I spotted along the way) and published new documents. If anyone else has comments on WD08, no worries, I will fold them in on top of this new WD09 draft and produce another set of documents. If you haven't started reviewing yet, WD09 is as good a place to start as any.

Dave,
I have reviewed this and I have a number of editorial comments.  I have
recorded these as inline Word comments in the attached .doc file.
