This is a contradiction, since the text implies that @Remotable annotation can apply to: - a Field - a parameter of a setter method or constructor Proposal: Change the definition of the @Remotable annotation to permit it to apply to Fields and to method parameters: @Target(TYPE, FIELD, PARAMETER) @Retention(RUNTIME) public @interface Remotable { Yours, Mike.
