Folks,

Dale makes a good observation, but the reason for the use of the older version of WS Policy is contained
on this page, I think:

http://www.w3.org/TR/2007/REC-ws-policy-20070904/

...the spec only became a recommendation in Sept 2007 and we simply have not made the decision to
move the SCA Policy specification up to the latest version of WS Policy, given how busy we've been getting
the Policy spec up and running in OASIS.

What I suggest is:

a) Fix Issue 37 with the proposal as below.

b) Raise another new issue to move to WS-Policy 1.5

But the W3C xsd is http://www.w3.org/2007/02/ws-policy.xsd
 
with target namespace targetNamespace=http://www.w3.org/ns/ws-policy
 
 
Why should the older proprietary xsd be referenced?

Folks,

I had a brainstorm on the call yesterday.

Issue 37 has a correct description of the problem - and a correct proposal.
The problem is that the change required is subtle.  My brain wasn't up to that yesterday.

Current schema location is:

http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/ws/2004/09/ws-policy.xsd

...and is definitely wrong - try it in your browser

The correct one, as proposed is:

http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/ws/2004/09/policy/ws-policy.xsd

..subtly different (there is an extra "policy" after the date section) - but this one works and gets the expected XSD
