PLEASE READ: RFC2119 draft for approval on Monday Feb 9 |
Hi Everyone,
This is a heads up that a final draft of the RFC2119 updates to the policy spec will be posted by EOD ET today. Several of us have been working the document this week. We have some final changes coming in from Mike E today. I will then apply Martin C's proposal for RFC2119 descriptions for intents by EOD today (Fri Feb 6).
In order to keep up with the schedule, I'm going to ask that we approve this draft as the resolution to issue 62 (RFC2119 language for the spec) on Monday morning. I realize this only gives you the weekend to review, but since this is NOT a CD vote, you actually still have more time to review the material before we get to CD and PR. See schedule below.
I want to do this because it will enable us to have a base for application of the remaining issues in the TC (there are a handful to apply). The following is how I see us making the PR date:
Feb 9:
- agree latest rfc2119 draft as resolution for issue 62
- agree resolution of remaining issues
Feb 10,11:
- remaining issues are applied to produce a CD candidate document and post to the TC
Feb 16:
- updates/discussion/changes to CD candidate
Feb 17:
- final CD and PR document is prepared
- TC now has one week to review the document
Feb 23:
- vote to accept document as CD02 AND as PR draft
