[sca-policy] NEW ISSUE: Infoset for external attachment is confusing |
TARGET: Policy FW spec CD02 rev4
DESCRIPTION:
Lines 731-740 contain the description of the Infoset for External Attachment. There are two aspects which are not crystal clear.
1) The @attachTo expression is evaluated against composite files
2) Expression evaluation DOES NOT happen against deployment composites, it happens against the Domain composite AFTER a deployment composite has been deployed.
PROPOSAL:
In Section 4.4.1 - The Form of the @attachTo Attribute
a) Add the following at the start of point 2) on line 734:
The @attachTo XPath expression is evaluated against the SCA Domain following the deployment of a deployment composite.
b) Replace lines 736-738 with the following:
Where the policySet is intended to be specific to a particular use of a composite file (rather than to all uses of the composite), the structuralURI [SCA-Assembly] of a component is used along with the URIRef XPath function defined in section "URI Based Function" to attach a policySet to a specific use of a nested component.
c) As for examples, there are already examples at the end of section 4.4.1 which covers a range of possibilities, so I don't propose to add any more.
