[sca-policy] NEW ISSUE: Asynch methods and Transactions |
The Java TC is on the way to allowing some methods to be marked as ASYNCH.
These may be long running methods or simply methods for which a reply is
not expected.
This raises the question of handle such methods from a transaction point
of view.
One answer is simply to disallow then to participate in transactions.
This is perhaps overly
draconian. A better route may be to discuss ASYNCH methods under
section 9.5.2 OneWay Invocations
This would allow ASYNCH methods to participate in ImmediateOneWay and
TransactedOneWay
transactions. At any rate, we need to add some wording wrt ASYNCH.
