Subject: Objection to 2.4.2

Hi
all,
Requirement 2.4.2
reads:
"2.4.2 The SDD
specification must support the definition of the information that controls the
selections to be readily collected into a “response file” for reuse. This
information should include everything needed for the operation to proceed.
Examples:Support migration between different environments, e.g. development,
test, production.Reinstall using the same configuration."
My objection is that
it sounds like we'll be defining the response file format. But there are
many possible "response file" or "plan" formats that could be employed; I
wouldn't want to constrain ourselves to just one.
I think Debra's
wording is great:
"The SDD
specification must permit the collection of all information required to
comprehensively control selections into a transportable format for
reuse."
Thanks,
Josh
