Specification Draft (SDD Specification Draft.doc) uploaded
This is the reason I wanted to use the graph pictures
from the xsd editor. They clearly show choices and sequences - things you can't
show well with just xml. Randy and Tom tell me the xsd is not part of the
specification so type graph pictures can't be normative. They could be included
in non-normative sections and then referred to in normative sections - that's
what they do in the SPML2 specification which is being held up as a model. That
seems awkward so I just punted in this first section and only used the xml
editor graphics.
I'd like to discuss this with the TC.
(Did you mean to reply to only me? Shall we move this discussion back to the
whole group?)

Hi –
I think that some
convention to illustrate that would be useful. I just wanted to confirm that it
was in fact intended to be either, as there was only the one identified in the
design editor.

Section 2.1
Under optional information there is a section on the Version and the Fix
elements, but that isn't represented in the schema above - which is
correct?
When you say "the schema above" I think you must mean the
graphic of the xml in the xml design editor. There is a choice between version
and fix. You can't have both in the same xml file so a graphic of xml (as
opposed to xsd) has to pick one or the other. I suppose I could put side by
side graphics showing each of the choices. Do you think that would be better?

Re: The length of the shortDescription is not restricted, should it be?
We do not have explicit limits for tool tip information in CA,
but only suggest "short phrases".

***Please review section 2 in this document and discuss issues via
email.***
This version contains the group 1 sections reworked based on the ACS
alignment. Note that most of the content of the submission draft outline
has been stripped out to make this simpler to review.
