Randy,

 

For the datatype of attribute "label", we use "r[\d]+" such as r12345 but that would be very vendor specific.   I think defining it as a string is the best considering this field is very vendor specific.  For  the true unique id, the UUID can be used.

 

For the contentType,  I do not have preference either as an attribute or element.  But last week we mentioned that as an element.  Regarding the datatype of the contentType, it would be ideal if it is an enum but defining that enum list would need a full discussion on Profile and consistency with CIM etc (preferably in CL2).  I would suggest it as String type for CL1. 

 

Let me know if you have any problem when doing the schema changes.

Questions on the minutes (sorry that I could not be 
there): 

John's proposal: 

A "label" attribute was approved.  The 
charts do not reflect the data type.  I would think that you might want 
something a little more restrictive than a string, e.g. no white space. 
 Please advise. 

ContentType is 
shown as an element.  Originally, this was an attribute in the 
PackageDescriptor.  Was there discussion on element vs. attribute? 
  

Similar to the "label" 
attribute, there is no mention of the data type for ContentType. 

The above information is going to be needed 
prior to schema/spec modification.
