The topic of multiple/alternative topologies for complex solution deployment was discussed during development of the v1.0 SDD standard and the TC decided to defer this beyond v1.0.
We generally believe that this topic will need to be addressed in some future version of the specification. This would be a CL2 item, so probably not addressed in v1.1.
Need to determine if/when this should be addressed; this determination will be guided by implementation experience, so this is a placeholder for now (CL2, not CL1).
