Subject: AW: NEW ISSUE: createDataObject on non-containment properties

…and of course section 4.1.7

Betreff: [sdo] NEW ISSUE: createDataObject on non-containment properties

While reviewing the spec, it occurred to me that the limitation that createDataObject works only on containment properties is not very consistent with SDO 3’s handling of non-data graphs.  For instance, why not be able to call createDataObject to create an object that will later be serialized as a orphan.

There would be very little work to do to remove this constraint.  Basically, this is only a change to the JavaDoc and to the 3rd point in section 4.1.

Best Regards,

Ron
