I am unsure of the answer at present and have posted the following to a
rest related mailing list:

"
Another FAQ is how to indicate service version desired by a client in
a client request.

Should it be encoded in the path of the URL as in:

/acme/search/1.0?keywords=foo
;bar

or should it be an option within the URL as in:

/acme/search?keywords=foo;bar&version=1.0

Is one better than the other and if so why?

"

Will keep you posted. Thanks.
