Subject: Re: [search-ws] WebDAV Search

I don't know how serious the intent is, but the recent CMIS (OASIS Content Management Interoperability
Services) charter references Webdav

This was heavy reading.  It may be difficult for us to model WebDav so
that search-ws could be an umbrella for it.  Appendix B starting on page
45 indicates a list of "candidates for future protocol extensions"
including - result count, diagnostics for unsupported queries, ability
to select "next" set of results.

The basic search grammer looks like it is SQL based.  Do we know the
community that has implemented this?

Are we going to have a discussion on this?

WebDAV Search, which has been around for years but very low-profile,
seems now to be on a standards track in the IETF.

Please all read it, we need to discuss if and how it affects our work.
