9. Next Call

Minutes:
Present: Ray, Larry, Ashley, Kerry

1. Same Container.
See Kerry's message,
http://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/search-ws/email/archives/200812/msg00000.html

LOM folks conclude that they do want CQL to represent "same container" (e.g. author and date in the same field) but not anything more structurally complex, use XQuery instead.

So "find 'A' and 'B' within the same container 'C'"
 will be represented as
                 A PROX/element.container=C B

"find 'A' and 'B' within the same container" (any container)
 will be represented as
                 A PROX/element.container B

2 Faceted Search Results
See:
http://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/search-ws/email/archives/200811/msg00015.html
and
http://www.loc.gov/standards/sru/nuthatch.xml

Faceted search results will be based on this example. Ray will write this up and post a message to the SRU list.

3. Search Result Analysis
See http://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/search-ws/email/archives/200811/msg00021.html
Agreed.

4. Result size precision.
See
http://listserv.loc.gov/cgi-bin/wa?A2=ind0811&L=zng&T=0&P=56
http://listserv.loc.gov/cgi-bin/wa?A2=ind0811&L=zng&T=0&P=164
http://listserv.loc.gov/cgi-bin/wa?A2=ind0811&L=zng&T=0&P=367

We agree with Ed Zimmerman's approach. The "result size precision" value should be a term from a controlled vocabulary. 'exact' and 'unknown' should be included, and these two should be the minimum two values required to be understood by the client. 'minimum' and 'maximum' should also be included.

In addition, a value of "more" or "current" might indicate that the process of building the result set continues, and in that case a "maximum" value might be supplied.

The result size precision information perhaps should be included in Result Analysis.

Ray will write a schema.

The resultCount parameter should be optional, and it should be omitted if the result size precision is "unknown".

5. Schedule
See http://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/search-ws/email/archives/200811/msg00020.html
