Subject: Groups - Search WS TC Call (Conference Call) modified
Minutes added. -- Ray Denenberg Search WS TC Call (Conference Call) has been modified by Ray Denenberg Date: Monday, 01 December 2008 Time: 09:30am - 10:30am ET Event Description: Toll-free number: 888-448-7101 International Dial-In: See http://www.intercall.com/sprintservices/SPCIntlAccessNumber.pdf Participant code:7646073 (initiator add 8984) Host: Ralph Agenda: 1. Schedule http://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/search-ws/email/archives/200811/msg00020.html 7. Next steps 8. Other Business 9. Next Call Minutes: Present: Ray, Larry, Ashley, Kerry Not present: Matthew, Ralph, Janifer 4 of 7, quorum. 1. Same Container. See Kerry's message, http://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/search-ws/email/archives/200812/msg00000.html LOM folks conclude that they do want CQL to represent "same container" (e.g. author and date in the same field) but not anything more structurally complex, use XQuery instead. So "find 'A' and 'B' within the same container 'C'" will be represented as A PROX/element.container=C B "find 'A' and 'B' within the same container" (any container) will be represented as A PROX/element.container B 2 Faceted Search Results See: http://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/search-ws/email/archives/200811/msg00015.html and http://www.loc.gov/standards/sru/nuthatch.xml Faceted search results will be based on this example. Ray will write this up and post a message to the SRU list. 3. Search Result Analysis See http://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/search-ws/email/archives/200811/msg00021.html Agreed. 4. Result size precision. See http://listserv.loc.gov/cgi-bin/wa?A2=ind0811&L=zng&T=0&P=56 http://listserv.loc.gov/cgi-bin/wa?A2=ind0811&L=zng&T=0&P=164 http://listserv.loc.gov/cgi-bin/wa?A2=ind0811&L=zng&T=0&P=367 We agree with Ed Zimmerman's approach. The "result size precision" value should be a term from a controlled vocabulary. 'exact' and 'unknown' should be included, and these two should be the minimum two values required to be understood by the client. 'minimum' and 'maximum' should also be included. In addition, a value of "more" or "current" might indicate that the process of building the result set continues, and in that case a "maximum" value might be supplied. The result size precision information perhaps should be included in Result Analysis. Ray will write a schema. The resultCount parameter should be optional, and it should be omitted if the result size precision is "unknown". 5. Schedule See http://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/search-ws/email/archives/200811/msg00020.html Schedule: By March. Complete the documents: APD SRU 1.2 Binding CQL 1.2 OpenSearch Binding SRU 2.0 Binding CQL 2.0 description During April. Prepare documents for public review. May, June Public review. July, August Revision and prepare ballot versions. (If a second public review is necessary that will throw off the schedule.) September. Ballot as OASIS standard. October Approval. The next scheduled call, December 15, is the last of the current series. We need to initiate another series. 0900 might be preferred over 0930. Poll the members. Most likely, no call December 29. Next Meeting: December 15. 0930 This event is one in a list of recurring events.
