Facets.
Client will be able to request facet results.  We will add request parameters facetType and facetValue.  Both repeatable.  So the parameter assignment 'facetType=language" is a request for facet information for facet type language.  The parameter assignment facetValue=language=english is a request for facet information for just the value english of facet type language.  Note that the parameter value for facet value is a cql clause.   The response will include a single, non-negative integer for each facet that the server is reporting - each facet type and facet value. Thus for example, for facetType=language, the server might supply the number of facet values for language; for facetValue=language=english, the server reports the number of records where language=english.  Ralph will post facet examples for CQL/SOLR. 

Response Type
Response type should be possible via content negotiation. We need to decide on an HTTP status code when the server doesn't support the requested format.   It is not clear from the list of HTTP status codes which one is suitable.  Ralph will write this up.


Result Size Precision
The resultSizePrecision response element will be repeatable.  That way if the server can supply more than a single precision descriptor.


Separate Endpoints
Revise 2nd paragraph of 6.1, which says " With version 2.0, it is explicitly assumed that there will be a unique endpoint for a given operation and for each version of that operation."   There will be a separate endpoint for different versions, but not necessarily for different operations.    It is suggested that a server can determine the operation by the parameters.  However, while this may be true for the existing operations, using this as a rule of thumb will affect the definition of new operations. So this needs to be thought out carefully. Matthew will write this up.
