Subject: Re: [search-ws] recordPacking (Reprise)
Hi: > client says "recordPacking=unpacked", what is the server supposed to do? This is up to the server - it's a processing hint. In our case this happens: 1. 'recordPacking = xml': http://bit.ly/bIuB0f 1. 'recordPacking = unpacked': http://bit.ly/aYHGpq These are both JSONP (text/javascript) responses. Similar behaviour for other OpenSearch types (RSS, ATOM). (And apologies if you're still using IE6 to read this. These links are better read with a more modern browser or a commandline tool - e.g. curl.) See they are the same schema. Only in the second instance *at the client request* the guts of the record data have been freed up to appear at the more logical and accessible record item toplevel. There is only one schema which is the standard schema for this media type.
