Subject: Groups - SWS Conference Call modified
Minutes added. -- Ray Denenberg SWS Conference Call has been modified by Ray Denenberg Date: Monday, 28 February 2011 Time: 09:30am - 10:30am ET Event Description: US: 1-866-699-3239 Australia toll free 1-800-671909; Australia Toll +61 (0)2 82239752 Netherlands toll +31 (0(20 2008070; Netherlands toll free 0800-0220938 UK: 0800-028-8339 Participant codes: Speak and listen - 20116243 Listen only - 20146009 Agenda: http://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/search-ws/email/archives/201102/msg00008.html Minutes: Notes from OASIS SWS call, February 2, 2011 Present: Ray, Larry, Janifer, Ralph, Matthew Regrets: Tony 1. Term Weight Will add a relation modifier 'termWeight' in the CQL context set. It's value is a positive integer, whose default is one. It may be attached to any index (via the relation for that index). A value of N means that the term should be given a weight of N times that of a term whose termWeight is 1 (including terms where termWeight is omitted). If termWeight is supplied in a request and it is not supported by the server, the server may supply diagnostic 20, Unsupported relation modifier (and the details would contain the unsupported value). 2. Explain Diagnostics Tony has proposed that the diagnostics a server supports be listed in Explain, but Tony is not on the call and we need further clarification from him, as to what value this would really serve. Would you update your Explain file every time you add a diagnostic? Explain's primary purpose is for a client to self-configure. Diagnostics are for human consumption. We need to see a use case for this. 3. Explain Schema. For each schema listed there should be (1) an identifier, (2) location, (3) name. The identifier and location should be of type anyURI; they may be the same URI. Location is optional, but the identifier and name are mandatory. For the two well-known URIs, CQL and termList, we will assing IDs. recordpacking and recordXMLEscaping. Should indicate explicit support for each value individually, via the element. For example: packed unpacked bob While the standard defines only 'packed' and 'unpacked', any value can be supplied, and that way we don't have to modify explain if we come up with another value, and also, local values can be expressed. Similarly there would be an element with repeatable subelement whose values would include 'packed' and 'unpacked'. responseFormat. For each response format: - the string used in the request (mandatory) - a URI identifying the format (mandatory) - a URL to its definition (optional) - list of media types it may be used in conjunction with (optional) Everyone is tasked with reviewing and commenting on the Explain draft. 4. CQL-Form All of the SRU work to support CQL-Form has been completed, but we still need to define the CQL-Form query. The plan is to write it as a normative CQL annex. Tony is tasked with writing it. 5. BNF Tony is tasked with double checking the CQL BNF to make sure that it is correct. 6. OpenSearch We still need an up-to-date draft. Ray will consult with Tony. 7. WSDL We need WSDL to add to SRU, for SOAP support. Matthew is tasked with writing the WSDL. Next call: March 14. This event is one in a list of recurring events.
