Thanks for providing this
feedback. The agenda looks
good. Re 3, is the intention to
provide a basic business scenario that would be consistent working model for
explaining the initiatives in 4?
Will this encompass Hugo's WSA-WG security use cases and the "travel
Agent" business scenarios?

meeting
All:
First off, thanks to all of you for showing up,
especially Janet and Hugo at 4:30 in the morning :-) I was pleasantly
surprised to get all ten of us on the call on such short
notice.
Secondly, let's discuss the following for the next few days via
email, then conclude our discussion on another concall next Wednesday at
5:00 pm EDT. I understand that some of you won't be able to make the
call, so we'll have to do as much as we can via email in advance. The
goal for next Wednesday is to have a completed program with names
of speakers to invite. (And we'll need to be somewhat confident that
the speakers will accept the
invitation.)
========================== The program:
1. [30
min] Welcome/intro by program chair [who?], and OASIS CEO and W3C COO.
Goodness of cooperation, etc. (No slides, please.)
2. [45 min]
Overview. General picture of web services, where security fits into the
picture and why it is so important. Why we don't have an architecture.
[technical expert involved in both OASIS and W3C -- who?]
[15 min
break]
3. [120 min] Use cases. What are the situations that make
security for web services necessary. What are users looking for; what are
their requirements. [suggest 3-4 speakers from companies in
various industries -- who?]
[60 min lunch]
4. [120 min] The
pieces. A presentation on each of the pieces, discussing some amount of
technical detail, what problems the specification solves, how it
fits/compares with other pieces especially in the context of specific
scenarios, what are the process issues, what is its status, call for
participation. [suggest no more than 6-8 pieces for 15-20 minutes each --
who?]
[15 min break]
5. [45 min] Response. A panel responds to
the above. Are the use cases sufficient? Do the pieces solve these
requirements? What additional pieces are needed? [suggest 3-4 more people
from companies in various industries, industry experts; or perhaps even
analysts? -- who?]
6. [30 min] Audience response. Continuation of
panel, but with audience.
7. [30 min] Wrapup/summarize. Plug for the
strength of standards; notice of future activities (W3C workshop, OASIS
TCs, etc.) and general call for participation.
