Subject: RE: Invitation for papers relating to SAML & XACML
Krishna et al, If you are looking for a "warm up" gig, the upcoming IEEE Symposium on Security and Privacy has a session of "5--minute Recent Research Talks" that might be a good way to advertise some of this stuff to a different audience. I am sorry to turn this list into a conference announcement forum, but this is, in my opinion, a good way to drum up more support for this work (especially as Pierangela Samarti, of XACML is also a well-known IEEE SP'er) regards heather Heather Hinton, PhD, Senior Security Architect Tivoli eZone Solutions Design 6300 Bridgepoint Parkway Building IV, B4001 Austin, TX 78731 e-mail: hhinton@tivoli.com Telephone: +1:(512)436-1538 Fax: +1(512)436-9411 Krishna Sankar <ksankar@cisco.com> on 03/05/2001 01:48:41 AM To: Jeremy Epstein <jepstein@webmethods.com>, "'Xacml-Discuss (E-mail)" <xacml-discuss@lists.oasis-open.org>, security-services@lists.oasis-open.org cc: Subject: RE: Invitation for papers relating to SAML & XACML JE, If there are no other volunteers, I would work on a paper "The State of Security XML Standards - SAML & XACML". Most probably we would have mature specifications by that time (and even a couple of prototypes/implementations !). May be there is an opportunity for two papers one on SAML and another on XACML. For some reason, cannot get to the acsac web site ;-0 cheers |-----Original Message----- |From: Jeremy Epstein [mailto:jepstein@webmethods.com] |Sent: Sunday, March 04, 2001 7:07 PM |To: 'Xacml-Discuss (E-mail); security-services@lists.oasis-open.org |Subject: Invitation for papers relating to SAML & XACML | | |As I read a lot of the postings on these lists (SAML and XACML), I'm seeing |that there's some really great ideas. So I'll put in a brief plug. | |<advertisement> |I'm the program chair for the 17th Annual Computer Security Applications |Conference (www.acsac.org), which is held December 14-18 in New Orleans |Louisiana. I'd particularly welcome papers relating to the topics being |discussed here. The submission deadline is June 1st, and details of the |submission process can be found on the web page. I'd also be happy to work |with anyone who is interested to focus your paper appropriately. Papers |from the past few years are available on the web page, to give you an idea |of the type and quality of papers we accept. |</advertisement> | |--Jeremy | |----------------------------------------------------------- |Jeremy Epstein voice: 703-460-5852 |Security Architect FAX: 703-460-5999 |webMethods, Inc. cell: 703-989-8907 |Fairfax Virginia email: jepstein@webMethods.com |----------------------------------------------------------- | |
