Subject: Comments on Glossary section
This my first email to the group after a week of observation. General ------------ I have found that the glossary has many useful definitions. However, some are "legacy" and some are not directly related to the main document (though at some later draft these terms may be come pertinent). It is my opinion that a glossary should consist of terms that are either directly or indirectly referenced in the main document. Therefore, I believe we should have a final look at the glossary after the body of the document is complete to determine if we have all definitions are referenced (again directly or indirectly) in the document. ------ With that, here are some specific comments/suggestions. 1. Add the following: Authentication Type - the specific mechanism for authenticating a principal. For example, user id/password is a specific type of authentication. Authentication Source - the domain for the Authentication Authority. For example, xyz.com is the authentication source for all principals who work for xyz.com Authentication Authority - A service or mechanism that provides an authentication service for a set of principals. Uniform Resource Identifier - A Uniform Resource Identifier (URI) is a compact string of characters for identifying an abstract or physical resource (from RFC 2396) 2. Modify the following TCP or TCP/IP change to TCP Thanks Jahan --------------------------- Jahan Moreh Chief Security Architect Sigaba Corp. jmoreh@sigaba.com tel: 310.476.3767 cell: 310.890.9391 fax: 310.476.7189
