Hi folks I just checked the ballot for the SAML 2.0 vote for OASIS
standardization and with 21% of the OASIS member companies voting affirmatively,
we are well past the minimum required (15%) to pass. No negative votes have
been posted. There are, however, a number of companies that either have current SSTC
voting members or observers that have not yet cast their ballot.
I’d like to encourage all observers and members to contact their
organizational voting rep and encourage them to cast your organization’s
vote. It would be great to see an extremely large (and of course favorable

vote turnout for this release of the SAML 2.0 standard. If you aren’t

materials were sent out for the following Committee Draft that has been submitted for consideration as an OASIS

and was subject to a required 30-day public review. Afterwards, the review materials
were sent out to the membership of OASIS for the required 15-day familiarization period. Those materials can be found at: http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/tc-announce/200502/msg00001.html. As the required review and familiarization
periods have now been completed, it is time to vote. I am sending out a Call For Vote
to the voting representatives of each organizational member of OASIS.
The applicable process rules can be found at: http://www.oasis-open.org/committees/process.php#standard. As each OASIS organizational member has only
one vote, participants should give their input to their organization's voting representative.
If you don't know the identity of your organization's voting
representative is, go to the My Account page at http://www.oasis-open.org/members/user_tools
then select the link for View Company Roster, then look for the name designated as "Primary".
