Hi Mert,

Bernd Zwattendorfer explained that the why eIDAS specified their own namespace is the clause „SAML extension elements MUST be namespace-qualified in a non-SAML-defined namespace“ as of sstc-saml-core-errata-2.0-wd-07 line 1566. 

OTOH the extension element in metadata has the same constraint, but namespaces such as metadata:algsupport and metadata:ui happily live in extension elements (-> sstc-saml-metadata-errata-2.0-wd-05 line 376).

We should discuss this.
