I note with (tempered) joy the publicized release of OWL 2 which does, it seems,

improve on Version handling somewhat.

Maybe (*maybe*) this will mean that if the ontologies were to be upgraded to OWL 2

then there might be the hope that reasoners will be able to handle only those ontologies

which are denoted as 'current' when making their inferences. Then, say, a code from

UBL 2 for Bosnia and Herzegovina will be ignored in favor of the code from the UBL 2

errata 001 for Bosnia and Herzegovina http://docs.oasis-open.org/ubl/UBL-2.0-update.pdf

Of course, this is subject to what the OWL 2 conformance and testing documentation

says in this area (at which I haven't yet looked) but it seems to be a very welcome

development that OWL 2 has reached such a stage and maybe the reasoners will be

upgraded to be more useful soon for SET deliverables, if indeed those deliverables are

upgraded too.
