Subject: Public Review of WS-Calendar v1.0

An earlier, internal email about WS-Calendar was sent out using the
non-public links to the documents. Some of you have noted that you could not
get to them. Here is the official notice, along with the public links to the
documents.

WS-Calendar refers as well to the work of the CalConnect group, xCal and
CalWS.

xCal can be found in the IETF at

http://tools.ietf.org/html/draft-daboo-et-al-icalendar-in-xml-03

CalWS has been released for simultaneous public review and the announcement
will be forwarded presently.

To refresh your minds about the details:

Standard Communications of time, schedule, and interval are in PAP04. This
work is conceived of as one not limited to energy but also applicable in
each of the domains that communicates with energy, including finance,
enterprise, buildings, and personal.

Price and product definition, for energy, always includes time, and the work
in that area will incorporate the work done in PAP04

DR communications always have their own communications, and those will
incorporate the work done in PAP04

Subject: [tab] Public Review of WS-Calendar v1.0

To OASIS members, Public Announce Lists:

The OASIS WS-Calendar TC is requesting public comments on the current
working draft of WS-Calendar v1.0 Working Draft 06. The draft is available
here:

doc

The TC believes the document to be essentially feature complete and stable.
They have received late requests from those working on another Smart Grid
Priority Action Plan to address the issues of Sequences of Operations and
using the semantics of WS-Calendar to address them. The TC work plan is to
address these issues as a profile on existing BPEL work during the informal
comment period of 30 days (21 May 2010 through 20 June 2010). The rest of
the document will be stable.

This is an open invitation to comment. We strongly encourage feedback from
potential users, developers and others, whether OASIS members or not, for
the sake of improving the interoperability and quality of OASIS work. We
also welcome interested parties to join the TC as it continues to further
development of its specifications. Please feel free to distribute this
announcement within your organization and to other appropriate mail lists.

More non-normative information about the specification and the technical
committee may be found at the public home page of the TC at [1] below.
Comments may be submitted to the TC by any person through the use of the
OASIS TC Comment Facility which can be located via the button marked "Send A
Comment" at the top of that page, or directly at [2] below.

Submitted comments (for this work as well as other works of that TC) are
publicly archived and can be viewed at [3] below. All comments submitted to
OASIS are subject to the OASIS Feedback License, which ensures that the
feedback you provide carries the same obligations at least as the
obligations of the TC members.

We also call your attention to the OASIS IPR Policy applicable to the work
of this technical committee, which can be found at [4] below. All members of
the TC should be familiar with this document, which may create obligations
regarding the disclosure and availability of a member's patent, copyright,
trademark and license rights that read on an approved OASIS specification.
OASIS invites any persons who know of any such claims to disclose these if
they may be essential to the implementation of the above specification, so
that notice of them may be posted to the notice page for this TC's work, at
[5] below.

OASIS and the WS-Calendar TC welcome your comments.
