Subject: RE: [soa-eerp] Re: REMINDER of comment deadline for EERP Schemas

Sorry to have the review coming in last minute. I am backlogged on emails.

I did a review of the following specs and schemas based on the latest links posted on the TC pages:

Specs:

http://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/soa-eerp/download.php/32576/BusinessQualityOfService-v1.0-spec-wd04.pdf

http://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/soa-eerp/download.php/32573/BusinessServiceLevelAgreement-v1.0-spec-wd03.pdf

http://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/soa-eerp/download.php/32571/BusinessRating-v1.0-spec-wd03.pdf

Schemas

http://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/soa-eerp/download.php/32422/EERP-bQoS-wd01.xsd

http://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/soa-eerp/download.php/32500/EERP-SLA-WD02.xsd

http://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/soa-eerp/download.php/32575/EERP-Rating-WD03.xsd

Note: I have a newer version of the bQoS schema versioned wd02. So I reviewed wd02 instead wd01. Szu, let me know if the above documents are the latest.

I run a trusted xml tool for all three schemas. They are well-formed and validate. I would say that Szu has done a fantastic job putting them together.

Here are additional questions and comments, mostly for Szu:

n      BQoSType and EERPRatingType have attribute “anyAttribute”, but not SLAType. Any reason?

n      EERPRatingType has a prefix “EERP”, but not the rest. I suggest removing the prefix “EERP” to make it consistent with others

n      Declared namespace string has date “200903”. Will it be changed to the month whenever the specs become CD? Also the schema locations are currently not accessible. For example http://docs.oasis-open.org/soa-eerp/eerp-bqos/200903/eerp-bqos.xsd. Will the links be accessible when publishing the CD?

n      Line 8 of spec http://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/soa-eerp/download.php/32573/BusinessServiceLevelAgreement-v1.0-spec-wd03.pdf, namespace string has a typo. It refers to namespace of “…/rt/…”. The correct namespace should be “…/sla/…”.

n      “Document Type” and “Created On” (first few commented lines in EERP-bQoS-wd02.xsd) are not updated

To clarify, we need to get to Committee Draft 2, then have a public review (60 days), and then we can decide to move to Committee Specification (if there are no issues) or do another Committee Draft.

Thanks!

SOA-EERP TC Members --

Per our 27/28 May meeting, our schedule for review on the schemas is:

**Comments due to list (as issues) by 11:45pm New York Time on Friday 5 June (mid-day East Asia Time on Saturday 6 June).

**Szu Chang will update per the comments by one day ahead of our next TC meeting on 10/11 June.

**Then the documents will go into review with comments due on the documents on 19/20 June (as above) and resolutions and updated specificiations one day ahead of our 24/25 Mune Meeting.

Our goal is to be able to move to a consensus Committee Draft 2 at the 24/25 June meeting.

The documents and schemas have been relatively stable for a while; when we are at CD2 we will decide whether to vote these as Committee Specifications and start the 60 day public review.

So please get those comments in!

Thanks!
