As someone working on reducing the Total Cost of Ownership of IT infrastructure in large enterprises, SOA became a natural choice. One realized that SOA has certain structural pre-requisites and just SOAP and XML won't do it and hence I have been participating in the XDI TC, an effort to bring Identity Technology to the Apps and Data Layer of an IT architecture, to create an infrastructure to allow mediated data exchange but from a SOA stand-poin to allow dynamic value-chains, veronimous transactions and leveraging existing Business Logic in Legacy IT to get to SOA.
