It would be good to explain the concept of service participants (providers and consumers) in little more detail. While the document lays extensive stress on the concept of services, the concept of service providers and consumers is not explained enough. 2. It would be good to have a mention about SOA compliance. For ex, what are the minimal principles that need to be addressed for a solution to be called SOA aligned. May be, this would be a degree of alignment, ranging from low (with no alignment) to full (complete alignment). This could cover aspects like discovery of services, support for interface contracts, and so on.
