Subject: SOA Reference Architecture, Public Review Draft 1, lines 1887-1890
Document: Public Review Draft 1, SOA Reference Architecture Content: 1887 A Message denotes either an action or an event. In other words, both actions and events are realized 1888 through messages. The OASIS Reference Model states that the Action Model characterizes the 1889 “permissible set of actions that may be invoked against a service.” We extend that notion here to include 1890 events as part of the action model and that messages denote either actions or events. Issue Title: Actions and events cannot be realized through messages. Comments: Actions and/or events may be realized through the service only while being denoted by the messages. Message denoted actions and events/RWE may never be realized due to service execution policies or failure conditions. Example, a service uses licensed resource; when a message, which denotes change of the resource state as a real world effect, arrives to the service, the license expires and service may not provide for contractual agreement.
