Ken, I think you've captured the fundamental difference between view and viewpoint quite nicely so, yes, this is reasonable. I would only add that although the relationship between views and viewpoints (within a given architectural description) is one-to-one, as noted in the 1471, a view should correspond to only one viewpoint, otherwise it is considered redundant. A viewpoint, on the other hand, can have more than one view. This is analogous to the class : object relationship in OO parlance, but I wouldn't take that analogy too far. Cheers... - Jeff E.
