I don't see anything that runs counter to the modeling proposed.   
Trust and Risk are based on an assessment of evidence and I would  
certainly consider continuous performance and the recommendations of  
others (contributing also to Reputation) being part of evidence.  Your  
observation of build slowly, lose quickly is part of typical  
assessment processes, but again, the degree it comes into play is  
personal.
