Subject: RE: [soa-rm-ra] Management Model - final edition
Michael, That is not exactly what I think we have agreed upon: ·
You now have both events and usage management. I am still not
clear how these two are related ·
Security is on of the policies. Why do we need manage them
separately ·
I thought that we agreed that QOS is one of the faucets of
business transactions management, but for some reason the latter has
disappeared. Management infrastructure has a lot of stuff, not all of which
seems to be required. Additionally the components that you have there are
on different levels of granularity. The
sentence These
new resources consist of the policies and agreements agreed to by the
stakeholders through the governance processes, participant interactions,
participant relationships, and resources unique to SOA ecosystems related to
the use of services across multiple ownership domains. Management control must
be capable of acting across all ownership domains and in a consistent fashion. Still does not make much sense to me The phrase The
ability of participants to provide services to users from other ownership
domains or to consume services offered in other ownership domains raises issues
not found in traditional system management. Does
not explain which issues you are talking about From: mpoulin@usa.com
[mailto:mpoulin@usa.com] Folks, please,
find the final version of the Management Model section where I tried to collect
all decisions articulated for the last week. I'll
be extremely busy at work till the end of April and it will be a problem to me
to contribute more time into this edition. Sorry. -
