Will do From: Ken Laskey [mailto:klaskey@mitre.org] All, This email announces the kickoff of the SOA-RAF full coverage review. The review is to be completed by the RAF SC call on 18 May 2011. The initial guidance for the review was sent 20 April 2011 (subject: lack of quorum for today's RM quarterly meeting) and can be found at http://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/soa-rm/email/archives/201104/msg00002.html . There was additional discussion at the 26 April 2011 face-to-face, the minutes of which can be found at http://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/soa-rm-ra/download.php/42001/SOA-RAF-Minutes-Apr-26-2011.doc . Finally, there was a final discussion and decision to move forward during the 4 May 2011 call; the minutes and recording from that call should be available shortly. In summary, the review is looking for - Minor glitches that can easily be fixed without controversy but which improve the overall impression that this is a carefully constructed document. For example, this could range from simple typos and broken links to a paragraph that was carefully debated and reworded several years ago and which no longer makes as much sense as it did during the immersion of the debate. - Catastrophic shortcomings that are glaring enough that if publicly identified would cause us undue embarrassment and seriously detract from the future document. Note, I want a thorough review but catastrophic will have to be proven beyond a shadow of reasonable doubt. In addition, you may uncover other issues that will need further adjudication. Please save these for the public review period. For the review, download the gold copy indicated above and make changes using the Word Track Changes feature. You may also add comments. Rename the file with your comments by adding your initials to the file name, e.g. GOLD STANDARD - 2011-04-30-kjl.docx, and upload your file to Kavi under the same Specifications section from which you download the gold copy. For this internal review, we will not be using a comments spreadsheet. Note that Jeff has redone the models and these have been uploaded to the UML models section of http://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/soa-rm-ra/documents.php . The document SOA-RAF_PR2-2011-04-30_Updated_Figures_List.txt contains a summary of which models have been updated. EDITORS: please pay particular attention to the models in your sections to make sure unintended changes didn’t slip in during the updates. If there are any questions, let’s hear them quickly.
