Mostly agree but I would simplify further.

"SOA data model does not define or specify vocabulary or format used for 
exchange of information among SOA entities. It defines interfaces by which 
information corresponding to an identified vocabulary can be 
accessed.  While mediation capability may be included as part of a service 
interface, it is not required and in general may be considered a separate 
function in the data access process."

OK, maybe that's no simpler but a slightly different twist.
