By this I mean that, if we buy into the fact that SOA is a type of Enterprise Architecture, then (again, caveating it with the following) it appears to me that we might be heading in the direction of creating a reference model that one may use when architecting a SOA (perhaps a better wording might be "when architecting a SOA-based system", but I hope the point is clear) vs. creating a reference model for service-oriented architecture as a holistic concept. IOW, the former is a "this can help you" type of idea, while the latter is "if you need to do this, this is a highly necessary tool".
 
So the difference in titles may be subtle, but I do see a difference nonetheless.
