I  had raised that point also. We need to show that that a SOA consists of multiple services. The multiplicity is not explicitly discussed until a bit later. We need to how those services are interconnected to provide a business problem/process - I think that's the key (IMHO).

(BTW - I do not agree with the BEA figure).

Thanks for this diagram. IMHO, it is the general direction that I was
hoping our TC would go from the very beginning (one may/may not agree of
course with each and every component). SOA is so much more than a single
Service (the bottom layer of our Figure 2-1.

There's still time...;)
