Subject: Taking the time to go faster
All: Trying to follow the flood of posts, with the time differences, low bandwidths, travel, etc. is somewhat daunting, as is any attempt to butt in on an exchange that seems well under way if not done-and-dusted, by the time I get around to seeing it. On some days, my bandwidth on the road is just wide and long enough to download the latest 50+ postings and don't have the time to read up, let alone reply. I might be just a co-scribe, but I have feelings too ;-) Could I make a suggestion: don't reply to a posting upon which you have already commented within a min 24 hour period. This way, we avoid endless (however interesting) dialogues, open the timeframe while dear ol' Mother Earth turns and sheds light on others, and gives us all pause for occasional but much needed reflection. Less is more...da di da...But seriously, sometimes you need to take the time to get to results fast. -Peter (from a 28k connection in Copenhagen airport) A little knowledge is a dangerous thing A little wisdom is always priceless
