Newer TC members please respond

I have given some thoughts to the exchange earlier today about a new
members responsibility to get up to speed before making suggestions.
Given some of the statistics involved, it may be problematic.  

SOA RM TC is now at 139 members and observers (we are now bigger than
UBL).
We have 120 documents
There are over 3000 emails in our archives.

Given these numbers, it is probably not an easy task to get up to speed.
While new members do have a responsibility to do so, I also want to urge
the other TC members to recognize that this is an immense task for any
individual.  

New Members may want some form of orientation.  I would welcome any
comments from new members on what they would like to see as a sort of
SOA RM boot camp.
