greetings from the RA subcommittee

Noting that the RA mailing list is separate from the RM list, this is to remind those on the RM list that the RA work is moving forward but can always use more contributors.  This includes input for general discussions and for specific areas such as security, governance, management, and many other aspects.  You can check the RA wiki (http://wiki.oasis-open.org/soa-rm/ReferenceArchitecture) and the RA mailing list (http://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/soa-rm-ra/messages.php) to see where we are and what are the current discussion points.

The RA had a successful face-to-face on August 9-11 in Palo Alto, CA and is beginning discussion on the when and where of the next face-to-face.  A current suggestion is the week of December 11 in northern Virginia outside of Washington DC -- MITRE or Adobe to host.   For those who may be interested in attending, please let us know how well the date and location work for you or whether you want to suggest an alternative.  Note the XML 2006 conference is the previous week in Boston.
