Subject: RE: [soa-tel] Proposed Agenda for F2F meeting

Hi Abbie,

This is a loaded agenda … but I am also not sure about the goals for the meeting (other than the admin/organizational goals). Furthermore, what is not clear is whether with the amount of different items, is this a wishful laundry list of topics that we “may” discuss based on availably submission, or is it based on real/committed submissions? I renew my request that we keep it to a 2-days meeting (13-14th) – in any case (F2F or by phone) I personally won’t be available on Jan. 15th. Aside the fact my company is encouraging me to have clear goals for the meeting, or otherwise not travel and attend via CC. So it would truly critical to see which companies have committed contributions for the agenda, and reduce the agenda accordingly. Getting together to brainstorm about so many topics, without available content or goals will not be good use of our time and of company resources. I am particularly concerned with the expectations on contributions, given that I’ve heard of none so far, and I also don’t expect to see too many till after New Year. Booking travel with less than 2 weeks to the meetings will increase the travel cost – hence I at least need a confirmed agenda based on committed contributions in the next couple of days, otherwise I will just plan on calling in.

Best regards, and best wishes for the Holiday Season!

Michael

Ian

the agenda set the scope of the topics within the documents that we are after. basically after every session there will be a road map for use cases/requirements to be added to the dcouments.

last day deals with editors and starting of the drafts of the work.

Abbie,

simple (dumb) question - what are the goals/deliverables of the meeting?  It is not obvious too me, I read the agenda as an extension to the workshop we had in October - very informative and a good start to establish thoughts boundaries etc. but what are we trying to deliver or even start in this meeting?  I would like to see some specific goals/targets so we can stay focused.

Regards,

Ian
