Subject: RE: [soa-tel] UPDATE: Re: 2 Liaison Statements approved from SOA-TEL and Telecom MS SC to be sent to destination
Thanks Mary. SOA-Tel Chairs, and all members: I think we can consider I was appointed,
since you agreed with the LS to OMA. I am a member of the SOA-Tel and I am a
member of the OMA. Given this, I think there is no other process-related issue
that would hinder me to send this to OMA. But I suggest to strip from the text
the words that would imply this is done on the part of the TMS, and only leave
those words related to SOA-Tel. The fact that SOA-Tel introduces broader TMS
role, is OK I think – does not contravene the OASIS process. Attached a version of the LS from which I
stripped my affiliation with TMS. Please review and advise. If I am given
the go-ahead to send it out, I will accept the changes first. Regards, Michael From: Mary McRae
[mailto:mary.mcrae@oasis-open.org] To Members of the SOA for Telecom Technical Committee: There are two classes of liaison relationships defined by the OASIS
Liaison Policy: Organizational Liaisons and TC Liaisons. In this particular
case you should be operating in the TC Liaison mode. The exact policy is
here: http://www.oasis-open.org/committees/liaison_policy.php#liaisons Note that it requires appointing a Member of the Technical Committee
who should also be a Member of the organization with which the TC wishes to
form a relationship. That Member then becomes the conduit of communication
between the two groups. The Liaison relationship does not allow participation
by non-OASIS Members on OASIS Technical Committees, nor vice versa. There is currently no ability for a Member Section to establish a liaison
relationship with any other entity; only Technical Committees can create such
relationships. If the TC has not yet done so, it should nominate and appoint a Member
of the TC to be the liaison to each of the referenced groups (W3C-RA and OMA).
In each case, that person should be a member of that organization and eligible
to participate in their work. That individual would then be the conduit for
passing these requests to the other organizations. Please feel free to contact me if further clarification is needed or if
you have any other questions. Buongiorno Enrico, I have just returned from a short vacation and am reviewing
the liaison notices you provided. For each organization the process is slightly
different; I want to make sure these are handled appropriately. I will do my
best to process these as quickly as possible. Best regards, Mary Mary P McRae Director,

Hello In the SOA TEL TC and They are attached, the word file for
OMA, the ZIP for W3C-RA I am a bit new to all this but I suppose
I need to send such LSs to you for you to officially send them to the
appropriate bodies. If so can you confirm me that it is
exact? If not can you indicate me what steps to follow in the OASIS procedures
and who to contact in order to get these LSs to destination? They are a bit urgent, especially the
one for W3C-RA I remain waiting for your kind response Best regards ------------------------------------------------------------------ IT Innovation + 39 335 7669642
