Dear Enrico,

Thanks for your flexibility.  Yes April 20th sounds like a better date.

For now let us reserve that SSTC Call (April 20 at 12noon-East) for your “visit” to the SSTC. 45 minutes should be OK.

I will send out an email today to the SSTC to inform the group.

Regards.

Dear Thomas and Hal,

Thank you for this prompt response and for your kind invitation to join one of your meetings.

I made a quick poll with SOA-TEL colleagues who would join me in presenting and, leaving apart March 23rd, which we understand may not be a representative call by your side, we are a bit in trouble to confirm you April 6th, since some of us will not be available.

If it is fine for you, even if we move a bit in time, we would then propose you the next available SS TC call, which should be on April 20: would that be ok for you?

By the way, of the 4 SOATEL issues related to security, 2 (SAML Attribute Mgmt and SAML Name Identifier) are well known to your TC since they have been previously presented as Company Contributions by Nokia Siemens Networks. Nevertheless NSN is available to present a concise "refresh" of the issues.

So we are really speaking of 2 new issues for your TC, which were submitted to SOATEL by Telecom Italia.

So, going to timings, I suspect that for the 2 "new use cases" probably a 45 minutes slot would be better than the 30 min. you propose, and 10 minutes would be enough for the refresh on the NSN cases. Is this ok? (if on the call we will realize we need less time… that's ok …)

I assume that time for the April 20 call would be the same, i.e.12 Noon EDT (6 PM Central Europe Daylight saving)

As soon as convenient for you please let us know, so we block calendars.

Kind regards.

Enrico Ronco & SOA-TEL colleagues

Dear Enrico,

Thank you for reaching out to the SSTC and engaging us on these matters.

We would appreciate it very much if you could present these 4 issues to the SSTC

at one of our teleconference calls.

Our next SSTC bi-weekly call is on Tuesday March 23.  Since that week is the IETF77 week,

it might be the case that several SSTC attendees will be at the IETF (i.e. we might have

a low attendee rate on that telecon).

As such, I would recommend that you present these cases on the 6th of April telecon.

Would Tuesday 6 April 2010 work for you?  Also, would 30 minutes be sufficient?

(PS. Out telecons are at 12noon-East US Time. I will send you the number.).

Regards.

Thomas/Hal

Subject: Liaison proposal from SOA-TEL TC to Security Services TC

Dear Thomas and Hal,

On behalf of the SOA-TEL TC please find enclosed 1 Liaison Statement letter and 2 SOA-TEL deliverables, for analysis and consideration by the Security Services TC you are chairing.

As written in the LS, SOA-TEL has identified 4 potential issues related to the utilization of the SAML protocol within the context of “Telecoms”. We understand the Security Services TC is in charge of the specification and enhancement of SAML, so we propose your TC the issues in order to verify if they really are technical issues, and if so, how and when could they be addressed.

We are aware that 2 of such issues have already been presented to your TC by Nokia-Siemens Networks.

Nevertheless we would be very pleased if you could invite us at your convenience to one of your meetings to present the issues and share some thoughts with you.

Our deliverables are

-          Telecom SOA Use Cases and Issues, voted by SOA-TEL as a Committee Specification

-          Telecom SOA Requirements, voted by SOA-TEL as a Committee Draft

(Please note that TC Admin is clearing normative references in the Use Cases doc and will begin the public eval period of the Requirements document very soon; attached documents are my latest versions available, but no technical changes will be performed on them).

We remain waiting for your kind response.

Best regards

Enrico Ronco, on behalf of SOA-TEL TC.
