Subject: RE: [stdsreg] committee introductions

Here is my short intro:

Jackson He, Distributed Systems, Intel Labs
13820 Evening Creek Dr., San Diego 92128

Myself and the Intel team I am representing are very active in several
standards organizations (OASIS, UN/CEFACT, W3C, WS-I, etc.) to drive
interoperability and convergence of standards. Our goal is to grow the
horizontal e-Business standards and proliferate applications of the
standards. Intel as a customer of e-Business applications and a platform
vendor, we have vested interest to see the success of the definition of
commonly agreed standard taxonomy and a registry to share the state of the
art of standards development. I hope this effort will provide a lead to the
kind of common taxonomy definitions and knowledge bases that standards
organization and ISVs could refer to for interoperability issues.

Regards,

Jackson

Subject: [stdsreg] committee introductions

StdsReg committee:

We've just had a very successful first committee concall (minutes to go
out soon), with 18 people in attendence. Rather than spending time on
the call to have everyone introduce themselves, as well as to give those
unable to attend the call a chance to participate, I would like to ask
eveyone to introduce themselves via the list.

Please send to this list a short (a paragraph or two) description of who
you are, your interest in the Standards Registry effort, and what you
hope to get out of this.

thanks.
