Hello

I've not been able to join in the two first meetings, but will attend tomorrow. I will
propose to put on some of the next meetings agenda the question of coordination with
XMLvoc Technical Committee

This TC had its first meeting in Seattle last week, and I've been appointed to be the
liaison with StdsReg.

Let me explain shortly the relevancy of this liaison:

XMLvoc TC is developing its work in the framework of Published Subjects development, in
coordination with general recommendations for Published Subjects, themselves developed by
PubSubj TC (of which I'm chair)

Since XMLvoc will develop a repository of PSI (Published Subject Indicators) for
vocabulary used in XML standards, its liaison with StdsReg might be considered from
several viewpoints:

1. Stds Reg could use the PSIs set by XMLvoc to identify concepts, types and classes used
in its metadata
2. XMLvoc could publish PSIs for metadata types used by Stds Reg
3. Stds Reg content could be made available as Published Subjects Documentation.

In any case, the objective is the interoperability of the Registry, and singularly its use
in topic maps applications.

Looking forward for further exchanges on that matter.
