Subject: [OASIS Issue Tracker] Commented: (TAG-3) TAML Public Comment:Object to Multiple Documents, want Standalone

Dennis Hamilton commented on TAG-3:
-----------------------------------

[2010-04-27 Discussion] Our discussion is that having interdependency with another specification is not unusual and cross-referencing from TAML to the Model is all right.

We want to make it work for people, without the dangers of too much redundancy. Having hyperlinks to the HTML version of the Model specification.

For formal referencing we could use URIs and looked at that as a way to be able to not connect to a specific edition.

We talked about ways to facilitate cross-referencing rather than duplicating but making it smooth.

We don't have a solution but the general sense is that we will keep the documents separate.

> This third Public Comment from Dave Pawson objects to the use of a separate Model document and a TAML document that profiles it, rather than having a free-standing self-contained document.
