2. REVIEW OF PUBLIC COMMENTS

The Public Review of the latest CSDs for Model and TAML and the CND for Guidelines has ended.

The comment from David Green was reviewed. It was agreed that, while the recommendation for a diagram of the widget that is used in Guide examples would be very handy, it is not essential. Because the Committee Note is desired along with the Committee Specs when the CS-s are reviewed as Candidate OASIS Standards, the improvement is deferred to the next edition of the TA Guide Committee Note.

MOTION: "Do you approve of disposing of the only comment (from David A. Green, Oct 3rd) with no action, as not relevant for this current version but to be considered in a future version of the TA guidelines?" Affirmed by unanimous consent.
Jacques will respond to David Green and the tag-comment list.

3. REQUEST ADVANCEMENT OF THE DRAFTS

With no changes to any of the drafts, and no issues raised within the TC, the advancement of the drafts to Committee Specifications and one Committee Note was addressed next.

MOTION: "Do you approve requesting the TC admin to initiate a CS and CN ballot for the exact same documents (TA Model [Version 1.0 CSD 03, PRD 03] for CS, TA Markup [Version 1.0 CSD 03, PRD 03] for CS, TA Guidelines [Version 1.0 CSD06, PRD 03]for CN) that just completed their public review Nov 2nd?"
Moved by Hamilton, seconded by Boland, approved by unanimous consent.
Jacques will submit the request for the ballot.

4. FURTHER STEPS

There was discussion of whether or not TA Model and TA Markup are better processed as one standard or two separate standards. Dennis suggested that when the parts of the ODF specification were submitted as a single standard, significant modifications were required, resulting in addition of an overview document and having a consolidation of conformance clauses. If that were required for the TA Model and TA Markup (where Markup is the first of potentially several supplements based on the Model) there would be a considerable set-back to prepare a single standard. Also, the modularity is appealing. No changes were proposed.

The subsequent steps necessary before the TA Model and TA Markup can proceed to Candidate OASIS Standards involve obtaining the statements of use for each specification. Candidates and contacts for such statements were discussed.

5. NEXT MEETING

The next meeting will be on Tuesday, November 22, at the regular time (22:00Z UTC, 14:00 PST).

Respectfully submitted,

- Dennis E. Hamilton
  TAG TC Secretary
