Subject: RE: [tamie] Meeting Minutes

Hi Jacques,

Ah, yes “Meeting Notes” folder. I see them now; that’s fine. The problem is the link in the email archives is to the wiki version and not the one in the document archive (or if there is another one I’m missing it in the subject line). You don’t need to put the minutes themselves into email if they’re in a document, but there should be an email with a *pointer* to the approved minutes, as there is with the emails that point to the wiki. Just want to make sure people can find them; I didn’t realize you already had them in Kavi.

Mary:

Our minutes are actually on Kavi, they are all under "Recent Documents" folder on our Home page.

We do not have a separate  "Meeting Minutes" top-folder (not sure I can craete that myself?)

But you are right that the TC process requires minutes to be ALSO posted on the mailing list:

I guess thats the only problem with the way we proceed - we still like to have them on wiki so that people can suggest in-line modifications . Once approved, we copy them from wiki to Kavi (right now all minutes up to Jan 06 included are approved and on Kavi).

So I take it that we will be compliant just by posting minutes on the mailing list - in addition to what we do today ?

Thx,

Jacques

Subject: [tamie] Meeting Minutes

Hi everyone,

I noticed in looking through the email/document archives that there are no meeting minutes; that instead there is a link to the wiki. Please remember that the wiki is intended for collaborative authoring and not as a permanent location for TC resources. This is noted in the wiki header. “Wiki pages are transient documents, so intermediate edits may not be saved. TC members should move all permanent work and stable artifacts to the TC's document repository, where the archival work product of the TC also can be viewed by the public.”

Each of the existing minutes documents should be copied into the body of an email message and sent to the TC email list or saved as documents and uploaded into the Kavi minutes folder.

Thanks!

Mary
