Subject: RE: [tamie] eTSM renaming

Two more candidates, shorter variants of some previous candidates which I find quite expressive(I like the mention of both Process and Events) :

PETML (Processes & Events Testing and Monitoring [Markup] Language)

STEMP: (Script language for Testing and Event-based Monitoring of Processes)
( a variation of EL-TEMPRO)

Subject: [tamie] Closing -in on eTSM renaming

Ranking of candidate names (from Stephen/Chuck/Dale/MaryMRae/Cho/Jacques):

Given some naming issues (see below), I'd say we have 2 real top contenders: XPAL, PETEL..
But all others (except those w issues) are still fair game IMO.

PASTEL: 5 (PRocess Analysis and Test Script Execution Language )

XPAL: 4 (XML Process Analysis Language)

PETEL: 4 (Process Event Testing and Evaluation Language)

PRETSEL: 2 (PRocess Evaluation and Test Script [Execution/Event-centric] Language)

ELTEMPRO: 1 (Event-based Language for TEsting and Monitoring PROcesses)(or: L-TEMPRO)

X-SEL: 1 (XML Script Execution Language)

PETSL: 1 (Process Event-log Test Scripting Language)

PATSEL: 1 (see PASTEL)

----------------- issues with some names:

PASTEL: a common name that already has a common meaning (you can't google that)...

PRETSEL: already used for something vlose enough: "Syntax and semantics of PRETSEL-a specification language forparallel real-time systems" (IEEE)
